Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Can I go to court to file for wrongful termination?

I was wrongfully terminiated which I feel may be age discrimination. After much research, I find that you must file with EEOC, etc., and they investigate. But I did not do that because of more confusion but now I am certain that I want to file charges in a court.(it's too late to file with agencies). Other charges as well. Can I take this to court and file the complaint(s)?

Depending on when it occurred, all discrimination cases must be filed with the EEOC or the MCAD within either 6 months or 300 days. If you don't file in that time period, you lose the right to go to court. I don't know what you are referring to as "other charges" so I can't say whether you could bring those in court or not.

You did not say how long ago you were fired. YOu only have 300 days to bring a complaint to the MCAD. You cannot go to court without going there first.
