my dad lost his job he was paid his vacation time but there was an oversight and they forgot to pay him his last weeks pay. then his boss decided that they had overpaid him by 5 vacation days (which they didnt) and therefore wont pay him his last weeks pay any recourse??

Your father may want to retain counsel to assist him. There are strict penalties for failure to pay wages due, and most attorneys are happy to help. If he is going to go it alone, your father should go to the Attorney General's website (or call the office) and file a complaint with their Wage and Hour Division. This is a prerequisite to filing suit. There are short time limits on when claims must be filed, so you shouldn't delay. Good luck.
