Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Differences in salary for employees doing the same job...but not related to the

A job posting for a senior clinician was initiated with a salary of several thousand dollars more than I make. I already have the job title of senior clinician. I have tried to receive an answer from my facility beginning with my immediate supervisor and recently ending my quest with the company lawyer. I have received no answers from any of the people I have contacted. Also some people at my facility are being hired at new pay rate scales which are higher than those of us are making. What is my recourse?

Have you applied for the position. If not successful and less qualified younger, male or minority candidate gets it, you have a claim for age, gender discrimination and or reverse discrimination. People coming in and getting higher wages is not necessarily illegal. If in a union (which everyone should be) it should be a violation of your collective bargaining agreement.
