Discrimination/Harassment Question
I worked for a company for 3 years, starting at a bottom level employee, finally becoming assistant site supervisor. While as assistant supervisor, I formally began to change genders. My supervisor and the VP of the company were informed. Since then, I had been turned down for 2 promotions, others in the company were told my gender status, and eventually I was terminated. After my name was changed, the site I worked at refused to have my name changed on the main schedule. My direct supervisor also asked some newer employees to file fraudulent complaints against me, which they did. The complaints included using my gender identity as a reason they felt threatened. (They later told me about it, and recanted their ''complaints''.) He also asked them to file false sexual harassment complaints against me as well (which they did not do).They later received phone calls from corporate regarding the sexual harassment complaints that my supervisor said they had filed.
This is not the first issue I have had with this company regarding possible harassment. Since my termination, I have received 3 phone calls from the site supervisor's work phone, to my home phone, with only dead air on my voice mail.

I read about your problem and made inquiry of a colleague who is actively working for the rqual rights of gays, lesbians, and transgendered persons.
She wrote me and said she was "swamped," but if no one has helped you, she'd be glad to speak with you. Her office number is in NH but she does both NH and Mass cases; her home is in Mass. She is working through the UU Urban Ministry.
