Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Regarding my employment

I worked in a company for 18 years as a supervisor. I got fired and the reason they gave me was that I called in sick for 1 day and I had a doctors note. Is there something I could do??? And they still haven't gave me the unemployment.
