Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Final settlements from Employer

Hi,

I recently resigned a company and they owe me final settlements of $4500 dollars. My employer says that i am $4000 liable to them becuase i gave them only two weeks notice instead of 4 weeks notice. They are telling that i have signed a contract which makes me $4000 liable to them. I am sure i have not signed any such contract and asked for a copy of contract and the clause which states this information. I haven't got back any response from my employer after repeated remainders. Is there any way i can sue them on my final settlements. Thank you.

You may have a claim under Massachusetts's Wage Act, depending on the specific facts of your situation.

You are entitled to your employee records, including any contracts you allegedly signed, by law.
