Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Intimidation

Spouse is threatened with termination, by powerful employer, for performing work correctly,& for following legal guidelines, pertaining to his inspector's job. If he issues ''permit'', it will upset employer, who's property is nearby. Employer has no qualifications or license in my spouse's field. My spouse is state licensed. Recourse?

I don't understand all of your facts. As I read it, your husband is an inspector of some type. He feel that a permit should or should not issue based on his professional and legal opinion. Hew is registered with the state and his license could be revoked if he ies and issues or doesn;t issue permit. If permit issues, his boss will be mad and has threatened to fire him. If your husband fired, he has a strong claim for wrongful termination. But, who want's to get fired. Perhaps he could call his licensing board and present issue? Good luck.
