Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts
I was let go from my job and my contacts were all in my personal email. I emailed everyone that i was let go and asked for referrences. My firmer employer now wants to withold pay for damages and theft of his contact list.

Your former employer cannot withhold your final pay. I don't have enough info to assess whether the employer has claims against you for using the list and contacting "everyone" but, even if it has claims, it cannot withhold your final pay.
