Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Last paycheck

Hi,

I just started a new job and my previous employer is withholding my money , but I receive direct deposit and I received my last paystub electronicly stating that on such date the money is being deposited , but on that day I went to the bank to check if the money was their. It was never deposited. I did send them a e-mail on thus issue and have had no response.

Re: Last paycheck

You can file a claim with the Attorney General's Office on your own behalf. I would start there.

I would also be happy to help you make a demand upon your employer or file a claim if necessary. The Wage Laws are very strict, and if your employer is in violation, s/he could be subject to triple damages, and all of your attorneys fees.

Best of luck!
