payday period changes

Is it legal for an employer to change an hourly worker's pay period from semi-monthly to monthly? The transition would mean a two+ week period without any thing to live on.

MA law requries weekly salary payments. Call the Wage and Hour Administration at the Attorney General's office for a remedy

In general, General Laws Chapter 149, section 148 requires employers to pay employees weekly, or, with their consent, bi-weekly. The statute does not approve of monthly payments, though you see them all the time...
