hi! here's my question. If someone has worked for a company( drug store) as a cashier, for about 6 weeks, and each week, on PAYDAY, your boss informs you that the PAYROLL dept. has made errors, but you'll recieve your check NEXT week, and this has gone on for about 6 WEEKS, what can a person do? I would also mention, that in all these weeks, that person hasn't been issued her own clock in card, or number. Is this legal? Not to have recieved a check in all this time? I woul'd really appreciate an answer as soon as you can on this subject. Thank you .

You can call the Attorney General's office, Division of Fair Labor and Business Practices to file a complaint: 617-727-3465. You can also download the non-payment of wages complaint form from their website: www.ago.state.ma.us

Your employer is in total violation of the law. Contact the Wage and hour administration at the Attorney General's office. They can advise you of your rights. If you can get another job you can file a claim after you leave. If not, you have to decide whether you are at risk of losing your job if you file a claim (this is also illegal). Unfortunately,enforcement of your rights takes time.
