Probable Cause

My collective bargaining agreement contains a clause that says where probable cause exists to beleive that sick leave is being abused they may request medical documentation. What is meant by probable cause?

It may be defined by the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) itself. If not, in the context of the CBA, it would mean that there is a reasonable belief that sick time is being abused, and that the person from whom they are requesting additional medical documentation is the person abusing their sick time.
