Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

I'm in the process of starting my own motion picture production company. In regards to hiring an executive team, is it possible to sign talent using a contract structure similar to pro sports contacts where an owner will sign a player, for example, for two years with either a team or player option for an additional year? Is that possible? Thanks
