Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Hello. If I provided a resignation letter providing a one month notice but the company asked me to change the resignation date to a two week notice because it is an "industry standard" to provide a two week notice, why would I change the date on my original letter? Thank you for your advise.

I hope you undestand that if you voluntarily resign you are disqualified for unemployment. I would stay at the one month resignation and ask why it is necesssary to reduce the timeline
