Sales Commissions
My daughter has eaned, according to her company's compensation agreement, about $30,000 in sales commissions...Although earned, they are not paid until 2 or 3 months after they are earned..She is considering leabing the company...but fears that she will no tbe paid these commissions...She says that it is company policy to not pay these commissions when folks resign..Is this legal inMassachusetts ?

That is a good sum of money, and you would be smart to consult with an attorney in advance. It is a factual question whether commissions will fall within Massachusetts's Wage Law, and depends on the specifics of your daughter's employment arrangement.
However, the Wage Law is very employee-friendly and heavily favors the payment of all wages due. There are very strict penalties for non-payment, and sometimes a settlement can be worked out with an employer.
