Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Could my separation agreement be jeopardized by starting another job between my

On Sept 29, 2003 the company I work for announced it would be relocating all operations in Massachusetts to headquarters in Michigan. Most of us were told we will be paid through the end of the year and required to work until released, sometime in December. I have been told I will be released on December 12, 2003. By signing their separation agreement I will receive 4 weeks severance pay plus 3 weeks vacation pay for 2004. I have been offered a job with a new company that would like me to start on December 27, 2003. If I accept and start working before the December 31, 2003 termination date, could my separation pay be jeopardized?
