Every so often I read a question that challenges the very foundation of a normal interest between and among people. Barring other information, this is it. Humans in their natural course are certainly permitted to inquire whether another person is eligible for social contact beyond the scope of their working relationship. Such an inquiry of interest is not only not harrassment but the very essence and emodiement of humanity.
