Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts
Can a union settle for less than the FLSA? Basically, can a police/fire/dispatcher's union contract agree, not to include longevity and shift differentials into calculating overtime pay? It seems to me that they may not be able to because the FLSA 29 U.S.C Section 207 (e). Please give me some guidance. Thank you.
