Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts
I work at a company who offers a benefit of paying employees 1,000 deductible and paying $1,000 to the people the who don't take the company's insurance. This policy is in our hand book . Our employers took this benefit away with no notice and no change of the hand book. Is this something I could pursue since I was told I would receive this when I was hired?

Absent a formal contract the company can change its benefits at any time. However the payment of the $1000 for not taking the company insurance could have been determined to violate ACA recent issued regulations. While you might be able to.pursue this based on the handbook, I would not. After you have been there for a while and have built a positive relationship with the company you might bring it up with HR or the person who hired you
