Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts
I work as a sub contractor for a Remodeling/restoration company that bills insurance companys directly in Massachusetts. They have a written contract that states they will pay all invoices based a thirty day net. After 30 days if the bill is submitted before Tuesday the checks will go out that coming Friday. Well they are now past due by sixty days, and one i found out is about a year over due. It is about five thousand dollars. They contract me as a sub contractor, and 1099 me at the year end.Can they get away with this?? Is this a legal matter for the Mass Labor Board??

You will have to file suit. Don't sit on these for too long, or you may waive your right to collect on these invoices. If you would like to schedule a consultation and discuss your options, please feel free to contact my office.
