Work injury

Two weeks ago i started a new job. On the fifth day of training, I was told to take a hot caldron of soup off the stove in the kitchen when i lost my grip from its weight and it spilled all over me. I now have third degree burns all over my shoulder and arm. My supervisor that day did not inform my boss or take down an accident report nor did they offer any assistance other than a cold compress at the time. I went to the doctors to get it checked out and thats when i learned how serious it was. My question is, do i have a case for compensation for my burns and could i get fired for persuing this?

You cannot be fired for filing a workers compensation claim. You should get yourself a good workers compensation attorney, however.
