Wrongful Termination
I was terminated. The reason giving verbally was cost cutting . The facility I work at is profitable, hiring new people, converting temporary help to permanent help and opening a second facility. I do not believe cost cutting was truthful nor justified. Is there any recourse to this possible wrongful termination pleaase?

Forgive the lawyerly response, but, "it depends." It depends on why they actually terminated you. If they terminated you because of your age, race, geneder, religion, sexual orientation, etc. etc., then yes, you may have an action (if you can prove the discriminatory reason). If they terminated you for almost ANY other reason (there are some VERY limited exceptions to this) -- or no reason at all -- then, no, there is no action available.

There is no recourse against the employer for merely lying about the reasons behind your termination. However, the fact that there is a different reason causes me to ponder the real reasons for the termination (this is a nice way of saying that "I smell a rat"). Discrimination is rarely blatant. In other words, your employer is not going to say "you're old, your fired", but simply because the employer does not say that doesn't mean that discrimination has not occured.
