Re: braking a lease?

That is something you will have to work out with your landlord.

The tenants cannot legally kick you out or terminate your lease, only the landlord can do that. Until the landlord terminates your lease, you technically remain liable for the rent due.

Re: braking a lease?

You should consider retaining an attorney to negotiate a written agreement with the landlord releasing you from the lease and/or with the other roommmates indemnifying you for any liability for rent. Only the landlord can evict you. And you remain liable for the term of the lease unless released by the landlord with whom you contracted. Good LUCK!
