Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

Child visitation

I have legal custody of my 2 grandsons, ages 10 & 5. Although the father has paid court ordered child support,he has not contacted his sons in 8 months. The older son is having abandonment issues & is recieving treatment. The father wants to restart visitation, (also court ordered). Can I stop this?

Re: Child visitation

You can try to stop it, but you have to have a good reason for not allowing the father to see the son. You are more likely to get supervised visitation as opposed to stoppng it.

If the father has a history of abuse, drugs or alcohol, then supervised visitation is a reasonable request. I suggest you contact an attorney if you want to fight visitation.
