I want to give notice to a tenant , she is destroying the property . It's a house not an apartment .Are the rules different for notice.

No. Whether it is a house, apartment, condo, townhouse, or other, the rules for notice are the same. Even if it's just a room in a house. There are some minor exceptions, but in general, if there is a lease of residential property, you need to stick to notice procedures. 14 days for non-payment, 30 days otherwise. And just to ensure you get everything done properly, you really should have an attorney guide you through the process. The cost will be a bit more up front, but the money you could save by doing it right the first time - including time that you could re-rent the house and liability for doing it incorrectly - will likely be far greater.
