Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

Hi,

I have a situation where my cousin (51yrs.) and his son (21yrs.) are living with my mom's (80yrs.) in her apartment.My mom has short term memory loss and is very hard of hearing. They been there for 4 months now.They both don't work and the son is on probation.I told them they have to leave.He has not.He uses the address for his ssi check and food stamps I was told.How can we evict him.We live in Massachusetts?

First, do you have a Power of Attorney to act for your mother? If not, she has to evict them.

You need to contact an attorney, make sure you have authority to act on your mother's behalf and then file an eviction/trespass action.

Contact an attorney in your area or your mother's area.
