Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts
My housemate/tenant refuses to move out on the date we asked her to unless we give her our cat - who she has become extremely attached to. In her words, she will force us to undergo an eviction process if we do not give her what she wants. Is this blackmail, extortion? We live in Massachusetts. Thank you.
