Landlord Death
Does the death of a landlord/lessor void an exisiting lease or does it remain binding with the successor in the state of MA? Thank you.

The lease is binding on the landlord's estate. You owe a debt to the estate, and the estate owes an obligation to you.
If it is a residential lease, and you wish to get out of it, this would be a good time to notify the estate of a plan to move. If you wish to remain in the property, the estate will correctly seek payment of the rent required under the lease.
