Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

I have a landlord that pushes the envelope on borderline harassment i believe. She goes as far as to tell my kids that they cannot have Popsicles in the driveway because they drip and will bring ants. If we are outside she usually comes out and tells us something we are doing wrong, or how to do something... If we are outside and she is inside; she is looking out the window watching us so that she can "run" out and yell about something. Now I have gotten into 3 separate arguments with her about how she treats me and my family. And the thing is - I have never started any of them... She comes home from a bad day at work, and confronts me with "do you have a problem with me..." I - being extremely fed up with the entire situation can't hold it in anymore....I even started going out the front door about 3 years ago - as to avoid confrontation when I walked down the back stairs.... I know the obvious thing to do would be to move - but my husband and I are going through a financial hardship right now.... The complicated part is that she is my father in laws girlfriend. I just don't believe that it should be legal for her to continually bother us and make me feel like a prisoner in my own home.... Please help us!! Thank you.
