landlord ask tenant pay cash without giving a receipt
I don't have a lease with landlord. As landlord asked, I pay monthly rent in cash, but they reject my ask for receipts when they receive my rent, also they don't open a bank account for the security deposit. Is it a violation by law?

Failure to hold your security deposit in a separate, interest-bearing account, is a violation of the Security Deposit laws.
You have the right to demand your security deposit payment back immediately (if you can even prove that you gave your LL a security deposit in the first place).
You should pay your LL with a check, or demand a receipt for cash payments. That is so risky and a really bad financial move.
