Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

Lease breaking

I live in a managed apartment complex, I want to get out of my lease 3-4 months. early due to extreme headaches over a large construction project, and primarily because of the fact that my ceiling has collapsed twice in the last two years. The most recent repair still has not been completed after almost three weeks.

Do I have any legal recourse to get out of my lease under these circumstances?

Re: Lease breaking

Consider retaining an attorney to review your lease and the circumstances of the roof collapses to determine whether there has beean a breach of your right to quiet enjoyment of the property that may give you sufficient reason for early termination or at least some grounds to negotiate with the landlord.

Good Luck!
