Is the tenant's estate obligated to pay landlord for remaining portion of the ''term'' in a fixed term residential lease?

The answer generally is yes, the tenant's estate is responsible for all debts and contracts.

The landlord has an obligation to re-rent the premises. The Landlord has to mitigate its damages and must act in good faith.
