Lease Termination under Soldiers and Sailors Act

Hi, I am an Army Reserve soldier currently deployed to Iraq. I am on a lease with a person who is now my Ex-Girlfriend. Normally under the SSA I can terminate any lease, but I'm being told by the landlord that my Ex needs to sign me off, is this true? Is there any way out of this lease without her approval?
