Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

I am currently living with family for 3 years. I want to set up a rental agreement with my family so i can start saving up money for my own apartment. Can my family legally kick me out of the house if they decide they don't want to do that?

Assuming you do not have an ownership interest in the home where you reside, you would likely be considered a tenant. Both tenants and landlords have certain rights and obligations to one another. Both parties are free to enter into a lease agreement, and both parties are free to terminate the tenancy. If you have more specific questions, or need advice concerning your situation, please feel free to contact our office and schedule a consultation. 617-357-4898.
