Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts
Im in massachusetts, how can i represent a tenant in housing court acting as his agent? He is incredibly shy (anxiety attacks) when confronted with a public setting. He cannot afford representation and is not elligable for a pro-bono representative.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend's situation.
Your friend may want to speak on the phone with court personnel about making an accomodation for your friend's medical needs. The only person who can represent another person in court is a licensed attorney. If your friend is being evicted and requires assistance, you just have to hire a lawyer. What you can do is go to the housing court and seek information on his behalf.
Good luck, and feel free to have your friend reach out to our office if he wants to explore payment by credit card or other arrangement.
