Roommates voted against me

I signed a lease with 3 other

roommates 4 months ago and before

I even signed I asked if there would

be a cat. They said no, but now

they've decided to get a cat. They've

basically told me it's 3 against

1...Where does this leave me?

Does the lease allow animals? If not, your roommates are in violation of the lease.

There are a number of ways to handle this problem, but they depend on your relationship with the parties and what you ultimately would like to see happen. For example, are these your friends? Are you looking to break your lease, or have the cat removed?
