Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Massachusetts

small claims

I am a landlord and I am taking two tenants, on the same lease to small claims court. They were on the same lease. One of the tenants showed up. Is it my responsibilty to find the other tenant or if the judgement is against the tenant is it his responsibltiy to find his co-tenant to pay him back.

You should look at the terms of your lease, specifically whether the tenants are individually liable or jointly liable for the lease payments.
