tenant eviction
my father works for his landloard and the landlord collects the rent right out of his check every week my father is up to date on his rent but they just got a court date to get evicted because the building is on forclosure. so is it legal for the landlord to collect rent and keep taking the money right out of my fathers check if he dont own the building

Re: tenant eviction
The landlord owns the building until the foreclosure occurs. If the landlord does not now own the building, his collection of rent is larceny by fraud, and can be most easily remedied by discussing this with the local police (of course, the "landlord" might then terminate your father's employment).
The other route would be to advise the new owner of the building, whether through the court process or otherwise. This would allow the new owner to put the heat on the "landlord" to pass over the rent improperly collected.
