Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Massachusetts

Hello,, I own a flower shop in town,, we have always had families walk thru our doors to order their funeral work for years, in the past couple of years we have noticed that hardly no families come to us any more and have found out that the funeral home themselves are taking the flower orders and giving them to their own daughter in law that has a flower shop, isn't this against the law , they are not florist and should not be taking flower orders,, isn't this monopolizing and stealing from us in , they obviously have manipulated all this

Maybe you should start a funeral home...

I don't think that their decision to refer the bereaved to her shop is illegal. The bereaved are free to say "no, we will get our own flowers," if they should so choose. What you have here is not a legal problem, but a business problem. The days of easy money are gone, and now you need to start competing in the funeral flower market. This might mean advertising, marketing (for example to nursing homes) or lowering prices so as to become a far more competitive option for the bereaved.

Good luck!
