Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Massachusetts

Interning at law office that represented me

I am an undergraduate that is

looking to go on to law school after

I graduate. Currently, I'm interested

in getting more real world

experience under my belt, so I am

considering interning at a law office.

One of the offices I was considering

represented me in a civil dispute

last fall. I am very good friends still

with my former attorney, and he

thinks highly of me academically and

personally. His office is also local,

which is convenient as I'm not in a

position to move anywhere for an

unpaid internship. Is there any kind

of conflict, ethically or otherwise, in

interning at this particular law

office? They no longer represent me

since the civil matter has been

settled.
