sexual harrassment by employer
What should I do if my employer befriended me and started an affair with me and then implied that I may have to leave my job once he no longer wished to continue the affair? I have proof that he was pursuing me in the office and would not leave me alone. He recently told me he was crazy and that everything was his fault. I have proof of that as well.

1. You will want to keep good proof of his conduct, and maybe even start a journal to record his behavior and/or the behavior of his supervisors. You should print and bring home e-mails and other evidence. As long as it is on your work computer, you don't own it.
2. If you are able to do so, you must report his behavior to your supervisors or your human resources department (assuming that your harasser is not your only supervisor). Your failure to take advantage of your company's sexual harassment policy could prevent you from having an actionable claim against the employer. This is very important.
3. In the event that you feel you are no longer able to continue to work there, or you feel that you have been punished in some way by your employer, or denied a promotion, or demoted, or terminated, contact an attorney immediately.
