Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Massachusetts

Is there a way to find out a firms win/loss record?

I have a medical malpractice case that involves a nursing home. The State Medical Board found that the case warranted a full investigation. During the investigation, the nursing home and it's employees outright lied to cover up the their mistakes. Phone records, ambulance records, emergency room and hospital records back up just how much they lied in their initial answer to the complaint. The State is proceeding with a diciplanary and possible loss of licence action against the doctor, the nurse, and the nursing home. I'm ready to give this to an attorney but I'm wondering if there is a way to find out the history of an attorney or who the most successful attorney is in this field in my geographical area?

Re: Is there a way to find out a firms win/loss record?

What is the nature and grounds of the medical malpractice you claim occurred? Also, what is the injury you allege was inflicted on the victim, and who do you claim is responsible for it? Finally, what are the injuries or damages you claim the negligent conduct caused the victim?

While the nursing home's alleged lack of good faith in responding to a regulatory investigation might aid your malpractice case (if relevant), by showing the kind of company it is or how it responds to claims against it for liability, but the conduct may not be relevant to the damages you claim. Even if it is relevant, the victim still needs to have and prove damages flowing from the alleged malpractice (perhaps more generic negligence, however, and not true medical malpractice).

It is impossible to tell you where to look for good attorneys qualified to help you without knowing the answers to the questions posed above. Contact me with more specific information and I can help you find what you need.
