Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts
I cut my arm on a coat rack at walmart and now have scar
Last July, I was at Walmart shopping, as I walked by a coat rack, there was a metal piece sticking out of a coat rack and I caught my arm on it and got a pretty good gash in my arm, I was in a rush so I just covered it with a napkin and left the store. It wasnt in need of medical attention so I covered it up and was on my way, figuring that it would heal and leave no marks. Well now, I have a dark 3 inch scar on my forearm. Because I didnt fill out any incidence report on that day, do I not have any grounds to hold walmart reliable for the scar? Everyone asks where I got the scar, and it bothers me to look at everyday. should I just let it go? do I have any grounds to get any kind of reinbursement from them or should I forget it?

If you told people at the time, i.e.m that day, it may support a claim. Consult an attorney. The burden of proof is on you.

Hello. My advice would be to forget it. There was no prompt notice and no medical treatment. At this late date, there would be no way to persuade Walmart that they were responsible for this injury.
