Fen-phen and Redux

If you took either of these drugs then you should contact your doctor and tell him or her. The FDA has recommended that people check with their doctors because of the increased risk that you may have a heart valve disorder. Studies done show a significant relationship between both fen-phen and redux and heart valve disorders and lung disorders. There is also some evidence now that these drugs might be tied to some memory losses and other neurological symptoms.

Our office is representing people with these injuries and would be happy to talk with anyone who thinks they might have a claim. Case are being brought on an individual basis if someone is injured, and there are some class actions. We have filed a class action that is asking for a fund that will pay for tests for people who do not yet know they are injured.

You should see your doctor, and tell him or her that you want to be tested for possible injuries from the drugs. There are indications that the drugs could also cause liver problems, in addition to heart valve problems. Your doctor should know what to test for, if they seem to be guessing, ask for a referral to a doctor who knows what to look for.

Some estimates indicate as many as 30% of the people who took the drugs have injuries. If you have injuries that are typical of those who took the drugs (your doctor can tell you), then consult an attorney. You could lose the right to recover if you delay.
