Re: gym mebership

I am thinking that you do not work for your employer without payment. The only thing that lawyers have to sell is their time, and they have to limit how much of it they give away for free. If you want legal advice that you can rely upon you typically have to pay for it. If you want cocktail party chatter, like this, it is free but not worth much. Before I could give you any opinion I would need to spend time on this, interviewing you, reading the health club documentation which is a contract, and there is a specific statute which applies to health club memberships, and there is general contract law which I would want to review once I know your situation. Then I could give you a specific answer or opinion that you could place reliance on, and if I was wrong and lead you terribly astray you would have the benefit of my malpractice insurance, which also costs lawyers money which they have to recoup by charging clients.

If you want specific advice I am afraid you will need to decide how important it is to you, and if it is important then you should buckle down and pay for it.
