Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts
My husband has been slandering my name telling lies. We are in the process of going through a divorce. He sent vicious nasty letters to 3 people in which they gave me the original letters. I had to get a restraining order against him. I feel that if I don't hold him accountable for his actions, they he will continue telling lies on me. I lost my job because of his actions. I need to find an attorney.

It would seem to me to be more sensible to hire a lawyer for your divorce, and perhaps the defamation claim can be made as a counterclaim in your divorce case. You might also be able to get an order from the Family Court judge to get him to stop slandering you. Best luck JBS
