If you get injured at work, would I apply for long term disability, workers comp or both?

You should apply for worker's compensation. If you also have disability insurance, you can apply for that as well.

If you get injured at work, and as a result, you are unable to work, get a doctor's note stating so and make a claim for workers comp. If you also have short or long term disability, you should apply for that as well. Keep in mind, long term disability usually doesn't kick in until you have been out of work due to a disability for 6 months or more.
