Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts

My mother passed away this February, while I was cleaning out her apartment I found a notification from a lawyeer that said Notification of Irrevocability of a trust. This was sent to her in 2008. My question is how can I receive a copy of th e trust on behalf of my mother and what is the statue of limitations?

Thank you for your question.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mother.

My advice is to retain counsel to assist you in probating your mother's estate, if you have not yet done so. Once you are appointed personal representative of the estate, you should be able to request any and all of your mother's financial records, trusts, etc. You can try calling the firm that prepared and sent the notice you refer to, but they may not talk to you until you are appointed by the court.

Give our office a call if you would like assistance in being appointed personal representative and managing the affairs of your mother's estate.
