Is it possible to sue for negligence for seriously injuring my pet?

Yes, but with dogs there are probably a number of defenses available to a defendant, for example: the dog was not on a leash, the dog was attacking me, the dog was not allowed in the park in the first place, etc.

Sure. For the fair market value of your pet. For instance, you can sue for whatever you could sell your dog for to a willing buyer (before injury). You cannot sue for your emotional distress or the dog's pain and suffering. Regards, JBS
