Legal Question in Personal Injury in Massachusetts

''Relationship''

I have a legal question of sorts...

I live in Boston - I am 29...

I started dating girl, told her I was really serious about her... we slept together, and then I decided that because of some things bothered me about the situation, I don't want to see her again or talk to her again.. I did like her, but after things were getting weird, I decided to bail on this... I don't want to see her...

I get a call from her and her mother threatening legal action because her daughter is threatening suicide and that I am responsible because I have caused her daughter distress.

They have also said that I should not be at the places I normally go because she cannot handle being near me...

In any way shape or form am I responsible for this?

Thanx

Re: ''Relationship''

If by responsible, you mean legal responsibility, based upon the meager facts that you described, probably not. There is legal responsibility for outrageous behavior that causes legal distress or intention infliction of emotional distress.
